UNDER CONSTUCTION
In 1930 the famous line of Szamrajowka was reintroduced
into Poland with the pruchase of the mare KEWA (1923) from Yugoslavia.
Together with her Janow-born daughters (Oaza 1933, Troska 1937 and Wlodarka
1938) she was transported in 1939 to Tersk, from where in 1956 and 1958 the
daughters of Wlodarka, full sister by Priboj, returned to the Polish
breeding; Wroclaw Racetrack participant PIEWICA 1953 and PROWIERKA 1948, in
foal to the stallion Korej (by whom in Poland she gave birth to the future
Derby winner - the mare PROWARDA - whose daughter PROWIZJA 1964 by EGO gave
many highly appraised show horses in the US).
PIEWICA gave birth to the famous "P" line, renowned both
for their racing, breeding and show successes, most strongly rooted in Janow,
although respresented also in Bialka Stud and in private breeding. This line
split into two sublines - of the mare Pierzga 1964 and Pentoda 1970. In both
of them superb female members appear, faming Janow breeding in Poland and
abroad.
From PIERZGA's subline stem:
her daughter PILARKA 1975 by Palas - World and European
Champion. In turn Pilarka's daughter, Pipi 1981 by BANAT, European and
Polish National Champion, gave birth in 1997 to Polish National Champion
PIAFF by ELDON, who has been acknowledged as a worthy sire during his lease
to the US;
Pilarka's full sister - PIECZEC 1976 - won the Oaks and
became dam of World Champion Stallion Piruet 1983 by PROBAT;
European Champion PALMETA 2001 by ECAHO;
and PIANISSIMA 2003 by GAZAL AL SHAQAB, Polish National
Champion, European Triple Crown and US National Champion.
From PENTODA's subline stem:
Penicylina 1976 by Palas, whose record price for a mare
of price of 1.5 million dollars at the 1985 Polish Ovation Sale. Still today
in Polish breeding, she remains the highest selling mare in history.
PENTOZA, transferred from Janow to Bialka -daughter of
PENTOZA, the mare PERFORACJA 1986 by ERNAL, dam of Polish National Champion
Stallion, PESAL 1991 by PARTNER.
PESTKA, dam of high selling mare at the Polish Prestige
Auction the beautiful *Pepepsza, Sherwood Forest Farms chief sire *Parador,
Janow's Pohulanka. PESTKA is the grandam of 2007 Polish National Champion Pogannin and Janow Chief Sire, Pegasus.
