*Borowina

The highly regarded *Borowina - Polish National Reserve Champion mare and celebrated dam of two Polish chief sires Borek - twice Polish Racehorse of the Year and the winner of 9 stakes races including the Produce, and Boryslaw - winner of 4 stakes races including the Criterium, Bohun and grandam of Beduin (through daughter Bogdanka)- International Norwegian Champion Stallion, Danish & Strohen Reserve Champion Stallion and Vilhelmsborg Top Five Champion Stallion, as well as the excellent mares Borowka, Botanika and the high-class Bogatynia - full sister to Bogdanka.

Sired by *Etap. *Etap was the sire of :  SET,1982 - Polish National Reserve Champion Stallion, 1986 - 1988 chief sire at Michalow and Bialka Studs,EUROS 1988 Scottsdale Reserve Champion Stallion, WIKING US Race Champion, POLONEZ Scottsdale Top Ten Stallion and multiregional Champion Stallion, when on lease through 1985 - 1986 to Kit Hall Arabians, used in 1987 at Janow Podlaski - exported to Brazil, 1991 Brazilian National Champion Stallion.

*Etap, sire of *Borowina

Bred at Janów Podlaski stud, *Borek (Fawor x Borowina) was named Race Horse of the Year in Poland in 1990 and 1991 and was the winner of 3 stakes races including Produce, Sasanka, Embargo and second in the Derby. A successful sire as well, most notably of daughters including the significant Cirka of Bialka Stud, dam of Cirkus. He was chief sire at both Michalow, Kurozweki and Bialka State Studs.

Bred at Janów Podlaski stud, *Boryslaw (Probat x Borowina) was named Race Horse of the Year in Poland in 1988 and was the winner of 6 stakes races including Koheilan I, Comet, Michalow, Criterium and second in the Derby. A successful sires as well of stakes winners Garland and Ekselencja who was 3rd in the Oaks. He was chief sire at both Michalow and Bialka State Studs.

Borowka is an excellent and multiple race winner that was exported to France. Left behind the Visbaden daughter Borta that was used at Janow Podlaski.
 

*Boruta (Alegro x *Borowina)

*Boruta was bred by Janów Podlaski and is a race winner in Poland. She was purchased by Meadow Wood Farms at the 1996 Polish Prestige Sale. *Boruta tragically died of colic on July 16, 2004 during her stay at Wintersteen Arabians. She leaves behind her daughter WA Borkata, double Reserve Regional Champion Mare SHIH and currently in race training.
